Production 2- Scripting

 Here is a basic idea on what the script for my portfolio is going to be:

Setting: An abandoned warehouse 

  : SHOT CHANGE 

JERSEY is looking straight ahead, concentrated and focused on what’s to come. ANN suddenly says... 

ANN: hey. 

JERSEY gets startled by ANN’S voice.  He looks at her. 

JERSEY: agh. You scared me. 

ANN:  c’mon I’m right next to you, silly. 

As ANN is talking, a person in the distance walks angrily towards ANN. 

REGGIE:  Ann, Biko’s being an ass again. 

ANN:  is it the zombie thing again? 

JERSEY: for the love of... 

 JERSEY walks away from ANN and REGGIE to confront BIKO, who is at the other end of the room. As he is walking, to his left, there is a person sitting on a window.  

JERSEY: (whispering to not alert any zombies nearby) how many times do I have to tell you? 

BIKO: (they whisper as well) that was for a different situation. 

JERSEY: (raising his tone of voice but still whispering) well then get your act together. 

REGGIE hears what BIKO said and goes over to them. 

REGGIE: seriously!? 

BIKO: SHH! (whispering) Quiet or the zombies will definitely come here. 

REGGIE:  well, then you shouldn’t have scared me in the first place! 

BIKO: I have to test you in some way. 

 The conversation is muffled as we switch over to the person sitting on the window. The person sitting there is LOU, and as he is looking around the outside of the warehouse. 

LOU: (voice over) Things weren’t always like this. 

It switches to flashback. We see a younger and more human looking LOU as he is trying to find CALYPSO.   

He sees a dark figure laying on the ground. He growls under his breath with growing suspicion.  We switch again to BIKO and REGGIE’S argument. 

REGGIE: you know, I think that you’re just too butthurt. 

BIKO: (gasps) excuse me!? 

REGGIE: you heard me. 

 Camera focuses now on Jersey watching the argument unfold. The argument becomes progressively more muffled as Jersey flinches as he is trying to search for a sound that came from a corner in the room.  JERSEY tenses up and his heart starts beating.  We switch over to the argument again, but this time there is no sound.  Jersey then looks over to where the window is and notices something coming, and then... 

JERSEY: BEHIND YOU! 

 A withered looking hand comes out behind BIKO. REGGIE steps back noticing what’s behind her friend. BIKO sees REGGIE’S frightened face as if he knows what’s behind him.  The fingers of the withered hand penetrate the back of BIKO’S burlap head, with a strange ooze coming out of the punctured holes and dripping on his face.  With great force, the hand pulls BIKO back  and makes him hit his head against the bars of the window behind him. The person who pulled him is later revealed to be a zombie;  he smiles maliciously at the audience.
